Introduction

For our A2 coursework we have decided to do brief 3, which involves us producing the first two pages of a newspaper, a poster and two hyperlinked web pages. We chose brief 3 as we believe the skills we acquired through our AS coursework involving us using programmes such as: Photo shop, Microsoft word and publisher and also fireworks we believe has given us a healthy advantage towards our A2 coursework.

Before creating our own news paper we are going to deconstruct and analyse an deconstruct Newspapers in the current market today in particular newspapers in our local area to give us a general idea of the key codes and conventions regularly used in this media. The main Newspapers were going to focus our research on is:

The metro
Local guardians
The lite
The Sun

We are going to look at these Newspapers in particular as they are many of the major magazines in the current market today that have been tried and tested so they appeal to their target audience. These Newspapers are some other biggest selling in the UK all offering information about: latest celebrity new, music, events and Gossip. Researching into this Newspapers will help us a lot whilst producing our own newspapers, as theses are topics we want to base our newspapers around so carry out research will give us a general idea about what consumers like to read about and what encourages them to continue buying. The Sun, The local Guardian The Lite and the Metro are all in the the same institution and so will be a lot of help to us when gathering all our research from our analyse.
