Production of final product: evaluation

Pictures:

• We took a variety of pictures
• High angle shots , close ups,mid shots long shot
• Picture were taken from different location some were in fronts of a brick wall, infront of tress, infront of fences and on steps as we really wanted our backgroung to suit the genre we were doing as when looking at other magzines which you may see in one of our analysis the background was an important aspect in highlighting the genre.
• We made sure are pictures were original taken by ourselves
• We didn't start editing our picture until we had our layout all sorted out so we knew where we were going to position them and the size they needed to be
• Our pictures were taken of younger people as our magazine is targeted at a younger target audience
• Sarah: I placed my picture either sie of my main article as i thought it was different from many lother music magazine i have looked at and got the idea whilst doing my magazine research on hip hop magzine and thought it would really suit my layout. In my picture iv'e got the image of korri from different stance one with his arm cross, in his pocket and posing on a step so they represented the genre of my mag
• Korri: I did one main picture on the right and 4 little picture at the bottom of the left page as i also wanted to try something new and after trying out lots of different ways to layout my double page i dcided this was the best layout of my picture

Double Page Spread:

• We have looked at lots of magazines and have noticed that the importance of double page spreads are having articles and reviews written in colunms as there were hardly any pieces of text that were placed across the page which was one of the key factor we learn't and knew we had to then do in our own magazine to represent it is an actual double page spread
• In our magazines we have both decieded to do interviews of latest music stars
• We used black backgrounds on our double page spreads so that our text and picture stand out as we used ligth clours such as blue, yellow, green, orange
• We have included ebsites adresses on the bottom of the page if people want to view it as this is what we also noticed when doing our research
• We made sure we set our page out so everything is spaced out for example we left space between our article and double page spread so when the page folds there is space in whch to do so.
• We had a normal font for our writing and place our font size at 9/ 9.5 as most of the magazines we looked at had here writing really small

Front page:

• Our front page was the most importance part of making our final prouct as it is the first thing that consumers look at we finding a magazine so we wanted to make this stand out, look as informal for our target audience, brigth colour as much straplines as possible how that it worth the money , big broad masthead, banners , consitent colours, circle with writting inside and made sure it is essential we included the date and the barcode.
• Sarah: my picture was of korri and posing infront of a fences as i wanted to try out a different background i took about four different pictures infront of the fences of him doing different poses to increases his status, he was wearing a hodie and a bright tshirt, blue jean and addidas trainer as i wanted him took look as informal and i looked at what other artist within this genre wear and this is why i chose this look
• Korri: my picture of sarah was just he wearing a plain scarf blue top and jeans as i wanted he to fit in with the colour scheme of the magazine and took various shoot of her sitting down, standing leaning, jumping having her arms cross as i really wnated to get the best pictures possible and then edit them to fit into the magazine.
• We place most of our straplines on the left and right hand side of the page so there was enough space to see our pictures in the background
• We use the same format an layout but Korri: i did a hip hop magazine Sarah: a funky house magazine so it was to differernt magazine but tryed to keep the style the same to ensure the were similar
• We clearly stated edition 1 and edition 2 to show they were the same but different edition
• We both used bright colours
• Our picture were place at the right hand side of the magazine as it is generally the first side consumer will look.
